"With a verdant bright glass-covered courtyard and cosy interior it is welcoming all year round."

"I've been going to Amandines for the last fifteen years, and have seen it pass through many different incarnations. The main meals are excellent, and there is always plenty of choice for vegans. Your selection is a bit more limited if you are just after a snack - there is one vegan cake (chocolate and orange) and, while it is lovely in itself, some more choice would be good. (Having said that, nowhere else in Diss does *one* vegan cake that I know of, so Amandines is still your best bet) If you want a light meal, go for toast and dips - you get a huge plateful, with loads of salad and a handful of crisps. They are always willing to provide soy milk and vegan margarine (the milk thing is my baseline for judging a decent vegetarian cafe - if they don't have an alternative to the cow juice they don't get my custom a second time). The atmosphere is usually great, although it can get a bit crowded and noisy on Friday (market day). "
